Go Flat Or Go Home!

So every woman knows (and some men do too) that when it comes to taking care of our hair, we want nothing but the absolute best!  From the shampoo and conditioner to the straightening serum to the finishing spray all the way down to the quality of hair brush we use…they all play their part.  As far as I’m concerned, one of the most significant tools that helps make my hair look beautiful is…the infamous flat iron!  What would we do without it?  Even though it does take time to do, some more than others depending on your hair type and length, it is well worth it when you see the finished product.

There’s quite a few different brands and types of flat irons out there these days, but the one that I fell in love with is the Fhi heat platform flat iron.  It does wonders for my hair.   I have thick and naturally wavy hair, and this product makes my hair salon quality straight…and in half the time! It straightens my hair in 30 minutes, compared to almost an hour with my old flat iron. I highly recommend the Fhi platform.  Here’s some info for you to check out:

The flat iron plates heat even faster than other flat irons because they’re made out of Tourmaline Ceramic, which helps it flow through the hair with the greatest of ease.  You also don’t have to worry about getting tangled up because the cord actual swivels and it’s a decent length at 12 feet long.

The type of styles that you create with this iron don’t have to be just straight and smooth…the curls and waves that you can put together are limited to your imagination with this kind of machine.  It produces a gentle heat through a special technology called Nano-Fuzeion.  It helps to keep the hair from getting too hot, which can cause breakage. It doesn’t hurt that the control dial for the temp is easily adjustable and ranges from 140 degrees to 450 degrees.

I’ve had plenty of flat irons in my day where the plates get scratched, which is damaging to the hair.  I think it’s really cool that this one is scratch resistant and has 3 layers of protection in the ceramic plates, which help to prevent frizzy hair that’s at the mercy of static cling.

Ok, so now that you know what sets this flat iron apart from the rest, you’re probably asking yourself the key question, “how much is it?”  It costs around $150…could be less if you get it on sale.  I’ve seen it for as low as $112.  Now before you freak out on the price, remember:  you get what you pay for!  If you want an awesome quality product that’s going to last you a long time, then you’re definitely going to pay more for it.  Only makes sense, right?  My Fhi has lasted me 11 years.  Call me biased, but that’s well worth the investment to me!  What do you think?

Be on the lookout for more posts on “well-worth-it investments.”  Take care and God bless!
